My Professional Experience

I taught and led in the Further Education sector for 36 years, loving every minute. I was a successful Chief Executive for 17 years, in three different organisations. My previous roles included Chief Executive of the 157 Group, Chief Executive of the national Centre for Excellence in Leadership, Principal of Guildford College, and Dean of Croydon Business School. I advised the Further Education Skills Minister on Extremisms and sat on the Prime Minsters National Review of public sector leadership. I was awarded the CBE in 2004, was named one of the Debrett's 500 most influential people in the UK in 2015 and one of the UK "100 women of Spirit" in 2016. My organisations have won numerous national and international awards including the “International Spirit at Work Award” and the British Diversity Award.

I have also been a non Executive Director on 25 Boards, in a wide range of sectors. Currently I am an advisor to Caplor Horizons charity, Director of the Glaston Centre and a board member of the Glastonbury Town Deal Board. I was active in setting up the Glastonbury Way 7 mile walk.

  My Passions

I have a daughter from my first marriage, 2 stepdaughters and 2 grand-daughters. I love travelling and exploring different cultures.

I have been a spiritual seeker all my life and have travelled an unusual synthesis in my spiritual and professional life. I have trained as an Interfaith Minister, and as a Priestess within the Avalonian tradition.
